About the Role

We provide turnkey engineering and construction services designed to reduce our clients' energy and operating costs through the implementation of energy efficiency and infrastructure upgrades, smart building technology, fleet EV infrastructure, clean energy generation, and sustainability. The Project Developer III role involves working with clients to identify project specifications and develop comprehensive building improvement plans that meet client needs and support energy transition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates regularly with all team members regarding project development progress, open and closed tasks and issues.
  • Conducts facility walk-throughs to identify/verify preliminary scope items.
  • Prepares preliminary cost estimates for general construction improvement measures that address customer needs.
  • Provides facility existing building construction condition descriptions and general construction improvement explanations.
  • Develops conceptual floor plans and elevation drawings for presentation to the owner.
  • Participates in the presentation of the Preliminary Analysis Report to the customer.
  • Updates the development timeline, budget, and project development control index.
  • Develops detailed general construction scopes of work, specifications, and preliminary implementation schedules.
  • Facilitates subcontractor pre-bid meetings and facility walk-throughs with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer.
  • Finalizes costs and assesses project risk with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer, building the final project estimate.
  • Assists the Account Manager with the compilation of the final proposal document and prepares presentation drawings/renderings for RFP responses and interviews.
  • Supports the Project Manager during construction as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or five (5) + years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of various operating systems and software products (e.g., MS Office).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code and constructability of said systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple variables.
  • Ability to write presentations, reports, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and negotiate priorities tactfully.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
