Job Description

About the Role

The Project Developer III at Veregy is responsible for collecting design requirements for building projects by interacting with clients, producing schematic designs and floor plans, identifying construction materials, and collaborating with the development team to develop scopes of work. Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates regularly with all team members regarding project development progress, open and closed tasks, and issues.
  • Conducts facility walk-throughs to identify and verify preliminary scope items.
  • Prepares preliminary cost estimates for general construction improvement measures that address customer needs.
  • Provides descriptions of existing building conditions and general construction improvement explanations.
  • Develops conceptual floor plans and elevation drawings for presentation to the owner.
  • Participates in presenting the Preliminary Analysis Report to the customer.
  • Updates the development timeline, budget, and project development control index.
  • Develops detailed general construction scopes of work, specifications, and preliminary implementation schedules.
  • Facilitates subcontractor pre-bid meetings and facility walk-throughs with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer.
  • Finalizes costs and assesses project risks with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer, building the final project estimate.
  • Assists the Account Manager with final proposal compilation and prepares presentation drawings/renderings for RFP responses and interviews.
  • Supports the Project Manager during construction as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or five or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of various operating systems and software products (e.g., MS Office).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and NEC code, including constructability of electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical documents, and business materials.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple variables.
  • Ability to write presentations, reports, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and negotiate priorities tactfully.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and accommodate extra hours if needed.

  • Experience with electrical systems and NEC code.
