About the Role

This position is responsible for working in close collaboration with the Sr. Analyst Commodities in providing support and information to both internal and external stakeholders including buyers, accountants, business unit leaders, brokers, and executives. This position requires the ability to work within a team and through others outside the team to accomplish tasks. The ability to multi-task across multiple businesses both internally and externally to Tyson Foods Inc is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Planning, designing, and conducting research to aid in the interpretation of economic relationships.
Compiling, reviewing, and analyzing economic data to prepare reports detailing the results of the investigation.
Staying abreast of economic changes.
Organizing data into report format and preparing graphic illustrations of research findings.
Formulating recommendations to aid in market interpretation.

Requirements

Knowledge and techniques normally acquired through four years of college leading to a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
1 plus years' experience in the food or agriculture industry.
Strong computer skills: expertise in Microsoft Access and Excel; basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word; knowledge of purchasing programs such as SAP preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Research-minded with financial acumen.
Knowledge of commodity markets.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Understanding the needs of key stakeholders and the ability to relay those needs to various groups.
Limited travel required.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of purchasing programs such as SAP.
