Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the execution and project management of alternative investment fund mandates and support the sourcing of new prospective clients under manager oversight.
  • Assist across multiple asset classes in marketing client funds to North American investors.
  • Act as the keystone of transaction teams, serving as a project manager and mentoring Analysts.
  • Support the diligence, launch, and project management of Funds.
  • Serve as a junior liaison between project management and the distribution team.
  • Provide industry research including news updates, geographic and sector reviews, potential risks, competition, and regulatory changes.
  • Interact with/support clients to help them achieve their fundraising objectives.
  • Update key firm information and materials with oversight.
  • Produce, maintain, and update Fund materials with limited oversight.
  • Assist in the upkeep and internal distribution of management reports, client reports, meeting notes, and call notes.
  • Coach, mentor, and train Project Management Analysts.
  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of alternative investment experience, preferably including 1-3 years at a Placement Agent or in a fundraising role.
  • Solid knowledge of financial services.
  • Technical understanding of alternative investment products.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills capable of engaging with senior-level clients and responding to detailed questions.
  • Strong analytical, sales, and marketing instincts.
  • Minimum educational qualification of a B.S. or B.A.
  • Licenses including FINRA SIE, Series 79, and Series 63.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
