Job Description

About the Role

The Project Management Intern will assist the entire PDS team with day-to-day project specific efforts related to significant capital improvement and renovation projects within Ground LVL Development's portfolio. The role involves interaction with external project teams including architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors, supporting project planning, design, and execution. Ground LVL Development is a project management firm focused on servicing institutional owners in the private and public real estate industry, with an emphasis on luxury, branded, and independent hotel properties. HEI Hotels and Ground LVL Development are part of a leading hotel private equity sponsor and hospitality management company with a diverse portfolio across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with due diligence efforts for new deals and acquisitions, including documenting scope of work and coordinating with estimators to ensure accurate estimating.
Help develop project-specific scope and budget source documents for brand negotiations and project launch.
Support the management of procurement processes for design, construction, and consulting services by assisting with RFPs, meeting agendas, minutes, transmittal documentation, and project schedule and budget reviews.
Gain exposure to reviewing architectural, design, and engineering construction drawings and bid documents.
Serve as a liaison between hotel operations and design/construction professionals.
Review contractor and vendor onsite activities to verify compliance with design specifications, schedules, and workmanship standards.
Assist with the approval and processing of scheduled progress draw packages for payment, with an opportunity to work alongside the project accounting team.
Promote professionalism and ethics in all job-related activities.
Perform any other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Current enrolled undergraduate or graduate student (rising college junior or above).
Fields of study to include Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Project or Construction Management, Real Estate, or related fields in hotel/lodging industry preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Basic knowledge of project budgeting and accounting principles is a plus.
Eagerness to learn through mentorship, hands-on experience, and autonomous project responsibilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.
