About the Role

The Project Manager role involves leading client and internal projects, ensuring successful delivery, and supporting strategic growth within the North America team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that in-house and customer projects are delivered in scope, on-time, in superior quality, and on budget.
  • Utilize Agile or waterfall project management methodologies and relevant supporting software in the planning, scheduling, reporting, and change management of the projects.
  • Manage business analysts, developers, and testers throughout the project lifecycle from requirements acquisition to go-live.
  • Create, monitor, and execute project plans.
  • Work closely with technical leads in the creation and management of project artifacts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide customer project statuses, maintain project timelines, and report on project plan performance.
  • Estimate and create project budgets, track and monitor project costs, and review budgets with customers and management.
  • Manage problem reports, coordinate workarounds and fixes, and audit implementations to ensure internal processes are followed.
  • Manage customer expectations and deliverables, including issue management and escalation.
  • Report, document, and manage risks, risk mitigation activities, and resolution of system delivery and support issues.
  • Support sales functions to expand customer relationships beyond projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with clients and management to define project scope and objectives.
  • Work with finance and legal teams to create and approve client statements of work contracts.
  • Provide feedback for annual performance reviews for team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience managing large complex projects/programs ($3+ MM) within the L&A vertical.
  • Minimum of 10 years of L&A Domain expertise.
  • Experience with managing all aspects of policy administration system implementation and integration.
  • Experience with managing all aspects of underwriting, application, and illustrations system implementation and integration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a global delivery model (onshore/offshore).
  • Must be able to motivate and energize a globally distributed team.
  • Proven ability to work with changing priorities and quickly adapt to change.
  • Ability to understand complex L&A business processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.).
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Travel requirement of approximately 20% based on project needs.
