About the Role

The Traveling MHE Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of various automation installation projects in operational warehouses. This role involves setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress, and collaborating with vendors and teams, with a focus on automation and material handling equipment. The position requires 100% travel to work site locations and involves heavy project management, technology utilization, and communication. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of projects to ensure successful completion.
  • Set project deadlines and assign responsibilities to team members.
  • Monitor and summarize project progress and prepare reports for upper management.
  • Communicate effectively with third-party vendors to ensure proper installation and focus on automation and MHE equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in operational warehouses.
  • Hold vendors accountable and identify gaps in standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management and engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficiency in project management and vendor management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in operational warehouse environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation and material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Experience in testing and ensuring proper equipment installation.
  • Ability to earn trust and insist on the highest standards.
  • Quick learner with the ability to identify gaps in standards.
