Project Manager I

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manages multiple small and medium-sized projects, sometimes simultaneously, supporting multiple business units.
• Defining project goals, objectives, and deliverables. Creating a project plan including timelines, resource allocation, monthly status reporting and risk management strategies.
• Maintains project records in accordance with ZNA project governance guidelines.
• Building and leading a project team, assigning tasks, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders. Manage any escalations appropriately.
• Identifying project stakeholders and maintaining regular communication with them to manage expectations and address any concerns.
• Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses and making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays within the allocated budget.
• Strongly serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their delivery. Manages strategic go/no-go decisions.
• Eliminate roadblocks, resolve issues, and align people and the organization in the overall effort.
• Leads post-implementation review and shares findings for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area.
• Project management experience.
• Experience communicating with all levels of the organization, able to tailor the conversation to the audience.

Nice to Have

• Scrum / Agile development experience.
• Experience working with project management tools, such as Jira.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Insurance industry experience.

Qualifications

• Educational background as specified in requirements (Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma with experience).
