This opportunity entails being responsible for the leadership and management of the AirTrain Redevelopment projects design and planning activities at JFK Airport. Responsible for proactively managing the projects technical budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications and HNTB's 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client's satisfaction on every project) performance. Responsible for design oversight <$10M.

Key Responsibilities

Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant degree
8 years relevant experience
In lieu of education, 12 years relevant experience
Oversight and management of complex AirTrain planning activities related to potential future expansion at JFK
High level of self motivation to determine how best to progress design activities and provide the best solution for the client
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams including designers, surveyors, SMEs, facility teams, specialized manufacturers
Exhibiting high proficiency with all standard MS Office programs
Ability to clearly and concisely present progress updates to senior executives
Managing time, proactively forecasting, and communicating project development needs

Qualifications

Educational background in Engineering or relevant field
Relevant professional experience in project management and infrastructure projects
