About the Role

The Project Manager II - IT Operations is responsible for coordinating communication, tracking, and managing multiple complex projects within the IT Operations and Infrastructure domain. This role involves a hybrid of business analysis and project management, ensuring projects align with company strategy, standards, and goals, while facilitating stakeholder collaboration and delivering technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple large-scale and complex projects, ensuring quality results, timely delivery, and management of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Utilize project management tools to track project variables, generate reports, and provide project status updates.
  • Conduct project team meetings, escalate issues related to scope, schedule, and cost to management.
  • Work with business users, product owners, and IT teams to define project scope, priorities, and document assumptions and constraints.
  • Elicit, model, verify, and validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure development teams have clear and accurate specifications.
  • Develop and document project plans and schedules, assigning tasks with realistic start and end dates.
  • Coordinate resources, including staff and contractors, within a matrix environment to support project activities.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage change control procedures.
  • Create technical and functional documentation, support deployed solutions, and explain tasks clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure design to enforce industry best practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, facilitate training, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Mentor junior team members in project management and business analysis practices.
  • Support infrastructure, business applications, and systems, including resolving end-user issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience leading projects in IT Operations and Infrastructure.
  • At least three (3) years of cross-functional project management experience covering full project life cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Operations, Infrastructure, and ITIL.
  • Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Visio.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project administration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in consumer lending or financial services.
  • Prior IT Operations Management experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years of project leadership in IT Operations and Infrastructure.
  • Three (3) years of cross-functional project management experience.
