About the Role

The Project Manager Operations Excellence role supports the North America growth agenda by managing the implementation of medium to large business start-up and other projects with significant risk and complexity. The position involves de-risking new business opportunities, ensuring successful delivery to customers and shareholders, and deploying supply chain standards and practices in new operations. This role can be remote, preferably near a major airport, with 40-50% travel expected annually. The organization emphasizes teamwork, associate development, training, and continuous improvement within a business casual environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manages the implementation of medium to large new business start-up and other business projects with significant risk and complexity
De-risks new business opportunities through to execution
Manages start-ups to deliver upon promises to customers and shareholders
Assures Supply Chain culture, standards, and business practices are deployed in new operations
Implements strategic initiatives
Manages overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of medium to large projects with high risk and/or complexity
Ensures sales to delivery requirements are met for startups to ensure successful delivery
Establishes and manages scope to ensure business case realization, including deviation to plan post go-live
Drives risk/issue identification, tracking, escalation, and resolution
Manages the budget and resolves spending issues
Manages communication and escalation at all levels of the organization
Delivers best practice project documentation
Provides support to the sales/bid management process, upon request
Manages project performance against business cases
Identifies project resource requirements
Implements lessons learned and drives continuous improvement
Leads, drives, and challenges the project team
Facilitates Steering Team meetings to ensure senior team awareness and alignment
Develops and executes robust Cutover Plans, including all operational, systemic, and customer activities
Prepares for and participates in Project Assurance Reviews
Facilitates Lessons Learned and Project Assurance Reviews for small to medium projects led by others

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or 7+ years of experience within project management or operations related field
Professional project management certification e.g. PMI PMP, preferred
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment, preferred
5+ years of experience in supply chain, preferred
5+ years of production / operations management experience, preferred
