Project Manager, Tactical Planning

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of tactical plans that integrate seamlessly with high-level strategic goals.
• Act as the primary liaison between departments for all tactical planning initiatives.
• Oversee resource allocation at a macro level to ensure optimal execution.
• Manage large-scale, complex tactical plans with high visibility and impact.
• Define advanced metrics and analytics to measure and enhance plan effectiveness.
• Anticipate complex risks and develop comprehensive contingency plans.
• Deliver strategic-level reports and insights to the executive team.
• Lead the evolution of tactical planning practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Planning Manager to synthesize and summarize the strategic goals and initiatives of each business unit and functional group.
• Monitor and report on the alignment of tactical plans with the overarching company strategy, making recommendations for realignment where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of proven experience in tactical planning, project management or related experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stakes, cross-functional projects.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in strategic planning tools and systems.
• Visionary approach to process improvement and innovation.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices (depending on the industry).
• This position may require occasional travel.
• Flexible work hours may be necessary to accommodate project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management or related field
• 8+ years of experience in tactical planning, project management or related field
