Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating cultural resource technical research and writing technical reports.
  • Creating and developing proposals including establishing budgets, schedules, and applicable resources.
  • Developing proposals and identifying necessary resources for successful project completion.
  • Managing and coordinating archaeological projects including scheduling, managing budgets, leading teams, and liaising with clients on field survey, testing, monitoring, and/or data recovery excavation projects.
  • Coordinating with state and federal agencies, clients, and Tribal representatives to ensure successful project results.
  • Building relationships with current and future clients and teaming partners.
  • Leading and mentoring teams of cultural resources professionals.
  • Participating in marketing efforts.
  • Occasionally participating in fieldwork activities.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory experience on CRM projects located in the American Southwest.
  • Must hold an Arizona State Museum Principal Investigator permit or be able to qualify for one.
  • Must be an expert in local, state, and federal cultural resources laws and regulations.
  • Experienced in managing fieldwork, analysis, and report production for large cultural resources survey and data recovery projects.
  • Experienced in writing and reviewing technical archaeological reports.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience on CRM projects in the Southwest.
  • Ability to obtain or hold an Arizona State Museum Principal Investigator permit.
  • Expertise in local, state, and federal cultural resources laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing archaeological fieldwork, analysis, and report production.
