About the Role

Parsons is seeking a talented Project Scheduler to join their growing team, supporting large and small projects aimed at delivering Space Force capabilities to warfighters. The role involves providing guidance to professionals and technicians, ensuring technical excellence, DoD compliance, and on-schedule, within-budget project completion. The position is part of the Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to US government customers in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply diverse and intensive proficiency in the use of technical theories, practices, and company policies.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, engaging in diverse assignments within a collaborative/team setting across all levels of the organization.
  • Build, monitor, analyze, and report on Microsoft Project Plans, adding value with experience and skills, and liaising with Project Managers and Management.
  • Support project teams with understanding activities across multiple workstreams in a program.
  • Manage dependencies within Program Plans to ensure Program Integration, identify issues, and suggest solutions.
  • Conduct ongoing Plan Consolidation and Dissection in line with the Planning Cycle.
  • Provide recommendations for key management reports from Plans.
  • Manage Plan Tracking and Progress Reporting, producing and maintaining standard output reports.
  • Assist Program Managers and Department Leads in creating and maintaining fully resourced, meaningful project plans according to customer standards.
  • Perform resource leveling, future resource forecasting, and generate cost models based on plan contents.
  • Work frequently with Microsoft Project (2007, 2010, 2013) and Microsoft Office 2013 suite.
  • Work frequently with Jira.
  • Perform other responsibilities in support of the program management office and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project planning, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in utilizing PC and various planning software packages.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Agile tools such as Jira and Big Gantt.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in a leadership capacity on a project.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Big Gantt or similar Agile tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
