Projects Team Lead

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Direct project management activities according to assigned local, region, or national assignment.
• Serve as a point of escalation for any issues, risks or concerns.
• Manage adherence to financial plan, objectives, key performance indicators, fee allocation and budget.
• Oversee and manage projects through all project phases including planning, design, bidding, permitting, construction management and close-out.
• Oversee capital improvement programs with design and construction processes at multiple sites through local resources.
• Conduct regular weekly update meetings with client.
• Develop and maintain strong positive client relationships and manage conflict resolution.
• Assemble, onboard and manage required teams, including regional PDS variable project management teams.
• Provide appropriate level of on-site supervision to ensure project performance criteria are being met.
• Manage and support a team of project managers.
• Provide supervision, leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members.
• Provide training to direct reports on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure complete and accurate reporting including financial reporting and progress reporting on a weekly and monthly basis and as additionally required.
• Drive strategic program improvement initiatives that align to client goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in managing design and construction of multiple projects across a broad geography in a remote and virtual environment.
• Experience leading and running numerous projects simultaneously.
• A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to corporate real estate.
• Ability to lead individuals across a national team to deliver superior results in client service.
• Proactive and takes initiative.
• Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
• Operates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated responsiveness, and accountability.

• LEED Accreditation or other specialty accreditation.
• Focus on sustainability programs is an asset.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management (preferred).
