Project/Task Supervisor

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical, administrative, and operational management, including contract management
• Participating in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, schedules, and administrative reporting
• Attending customer meetings and serving as a client liaison
• Planning and prioritizing new projects and upgrades
• Providing recommendations to clients on task workload
• Managing risk tracking and mitigation processes
• Coordinating development of deliverables and products
• Ensuring quality assurance of project deliverables
• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• Providing guidance and support to less experienced colleagues
• Performing high-level technical services on assigned tasks
• Managing and ensuring the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects
• Effectively managing the software development team using a detailed technical understanding of the development process
• Overseeing the software development process utilizing Spring framework, Java, Hibernate, and related technologies
• Utilizing Agile Workflow, Jira, and Confluence for task assignment and tracking
• Analyzing and modeling complex multi-dimensional problems from business and technical perspectives
• Documenting structure and behavior of proposed products and creating plans for delivery
• Collaborating on continuous process improvement, organizational redesign, and change management projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle
• 5+ years of documented management or leadership experience (Product Management, Project Management, Team Leadership, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Technical skills including Spring Framework, Java, Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, React, Cloud Services (AWS), Jira, Confluence
• BA/BS degree in a technical discipline (preferred)
• US Citizenship is not required but a public trust investigation is necessary
• Familiarity with serving as a consultant or contractor in the Federal Government is desired

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with refugee and immigrant populations and/or social programs
• Knowledge of procurement/acquisition processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development Lifecycle
• 5+ years of management or leadership experience (Product Management, Project Management, Team Leadership, or similar)
