About the Role

Python Developer - San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Only Locals) This role involves expanding and maintaining data extraction tools for resource planning, working closely with business users to understand requirements, and collaborating with vendors to improve data formats. The position requires working within an Agile framework and utilizing technologies such as Python, Flask, Pandas, SQL, and Apache Parquet.

Key Responsibilities

Expand an existing developed tool to extract data from the modelling software into a Microsoft SQL database for the resource planning department.
Work closely with the business to understand the requirements and assist them in creating Agile user stories.
Work with a vendor to change the existing data extraction from binary to Apache Parquet format.
Work in an Agile framework participating in two-week sprints.

Requirements

Three years minimum experience developing Python applications including libraries Flask and Pandas.
Three years minimum experience creating and optimizing SQL scripts.
Ability to gather requirements from business users and successfully implement a project.
Must be able to work with business users to determine the requirements and implement them.
Knowledge of using JIRA for Agile development.
Experience with Agile framework.
Experience with Apache Parquet format.
