About the Role

We are looking for a motivated QA Analyst to ensure the highest quality of immersive experiences at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). The role involves implementing test plans, executing test cases and scripts, and tracking and documenting software and product features and flaws. This position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite at our San Francisco office and occasional remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Perform build verification testing, regression testing, and general testing for quality and performance.
Work directly with the development teams to identify and report defects and deficiencies.
Assist in the refinement and improvement of test procedures and test plans.
Provide assistance to Designers and Engineers regarding gameplay and game-balance analysis.
Test and verify the quality of software and internal tools.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a QA Analyst or Game Tester in the game industry or related field.
Ability to follow rigorous quality assurance processes.
Thorough understanding of QA and testing importance.
Strong knowledge of JIRA or equivalent bug/issue tracking software tools.
Experience testing PC, console (PlayStation, XBOX, etc.), and mobile (iOS/Android) games.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience testing mobile hardware devices, VR, and/or network connectivity.
Previous experience with Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

Industry experience in production, QA, or software development.

A salary range of $59,900 to $80,300 per year, depending on experience and other factors.
