Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable trading applications and data pipelines
- Maintain and optimize existing systems for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with traders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy
- Assist in data ETL and data gathering
- Perform data analysis and generate live and historical analytical reports
- Stay current on state-of-the-art technologies and tools including technical libraries and computing
- Work closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) and trading team in an open, collaborative trading environment
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scipy), web frameworks (Dash/Plotly, Flask), data pipeline orchestration (Apache Airflow), and databases (MongoDB, Redis, SQL)
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems (Datadog, Kibana, Elasticsearch)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Version control experience with Git
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Bachelor, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related STEM field
- Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and quantitative skills
Nice to Have
- Understanding of fixed income markets and trading concepts
- Knowledge of financial mathematics
- Experience with market data structures and feeds
- Experience with real-time data processing
- Familiarity with market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv)
- Previous experience in investment banking or hedge funds
- Interest or experience in systematic trading
- Data science expertise
Qualifications
- Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
- Experience working in production environments
Benefits & Perks
- Total compensation package including base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits
- Salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 (specific to New York)
