About the Role

The Regulatory Reporting Data & Automation Manager position at Huntington Bank is a highly visible and impactful role focused on working on regulatory financial filings. The primary responsibility involves driving the end-to-end automation of regulatory filings in compliance with standards and guidance from institutions such as the Federal Reserve, FFIEC, and OCC. The role includes collaborating across segments, building relationships, communicating requirements, and ensuring operational efficiencies while maintaining strong regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across segments to drive the end-to-end automation of regulatory filings in compliance with relevant standards and guidance.
  • Collaborate, build relationships, and communicate requirements across the organization to gather reportable data.
  • Provide business requirements to data partners, including IT and Finance Data Resource Group, and complete user acceptance testing.
  • Identify and work with others within the organization to improve reporting data and generate operational efficiencies while maintaining compliance.
  • Ensure the maintenance of procedural documentation for the regulatory reporting process and execute review controls.
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting issues with Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal.
  • Analyze results, identify trends and fluctuations, and provide insights to management.
  • Lead and participate in quality control efforts to ensure consistency of information across reports and schedules.
  • Assist with periodic reporting processes such as Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14 series, Basel III, and others as needed.
  • Participate in special projects related to regulatory reporting efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, information technology, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in auditing, regulatory and/or SEC reporting, or other regulatory related fields.
  • Experience working with regulatory reports and financial filings.
  • Proficiency in Excel using advanced functions and complex formulas.
  • Strong communication skills, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with process improvement and control mindset.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and core banking processes is a plus.
  • Experience with Axiom/Adenza ControllerView Reporting software, Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Access), Wdesk, Wdata, and Essbase is considered a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Public accounting and/or external financial reporting experience.
  • Financial services sector experience.
  • Experience in banking regulations and/or core banking processes.
  • Experience using Axiom/Adenza ControllerView Reporting software, Wdesk, Wdata, and Essbase.
