Job Description

About the Role

ATI is seeking to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager to represent the Specialty Rolled Products Business Unit, focusing on the Aerospace and Defense markets. The role is based in the Pittsburgh Metro-region in Natrona Heights, PA, and involves operating in an engineering-intensive environment as the main point of contact for customer engineering teams as well as internal process and product engineering teams. Candidates with a background in materials science, chemical engineering, or other technical fields within manufacturing are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report progress on sales targets and identify barriers to achieving estimates
  • Identify and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Establish and improve relationships with strategic Aerospace & Defense customers
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas for new growth opportunities and service expectations
  • Accountable for inventory management, including ownership of stock request approval and adherence to Make & Hold programs
  • Investigate and resolve customer partial payments and provide information for pricing claims and denial letters
  • Oversee order entry, review for accuracy, and provide status updates and detailed information to customers
  • Release material to ship and provide 'Must Ship Notices' to the traffic unit when required
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain onboarding and ongoing training programs
  • Allocate resources and assign accounts as necessary
  • Responsible for quote execution and export compliance
  • Provide support to the field sales team, marketing, logistics, supply chain, and technical services organizations as needed

Requirements

  • Background in materials science, chemical engineering, or other technical fields focused within manufacturing
  • Experience operating in an engineering-intensive environment
  • Ability to serve as a main point of contact for engineering teams and internal departments
  • Experience in sales, account management, or customer relationship roles
  • Knowledge of inventory management, order processing, and shipping procedures
  • Ability to analyze customer feedback and identify growth opportunities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with export compliance
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense markets
  • Leadership experience in managing account representatives or sales teams
