About the Role

If you are a Sales Development Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN or Boulder, CO location. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and own processes to define key target segments, define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain data cleanliness and deliver insights that support business strategy. The Sales Development Analyst will also provide process expertise with a passion for leveraging data to drive sales results and support key initiatives that enhance sales operational efficiency and drive better business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage lead prospecting process to enhance effectiveness of sales channel
Lead team that supports global sales organization through identifying ideal target segment customers
Own and manage requirements for all customer data tools to drive overall system effectiveness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support of growth strategies
Analyze customer data to identify sales opportunities and enhance customer relationship management (CRM) strategies
Lead and participate in projects aimed at improving sales operational processes and increasing overall sales performance
Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for process improvement
Monitor key sales metrics and report findings to inform decision-making and strategy development
Design and document workflows, processes, and systems to support sales initiatives
Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to close performance or operational gaps in sales

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
4-5+ years of relevant experience
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have

Experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Dynamics, Oracle, etc.)
Familiarity with industrial industry trends, AI, and analytics
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other data analysis tools
Experience in a B2B or manufacturing environment
Proven experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or a similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels

Qualifications

Educational background in Business, Engineering, or related fields
Relevant professional experience of 4-5+ years
