About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs across the Advancement division and recommend modifications to improve Marketing Cloud system performance, efficiency, internal business processes, and reporting.
• Work with customers to define requirements and map features to new and current business processes; collaborate with IT and third-party service providers on implementing technical solutions.
• Design and implement automated marketing campaigns using tools like Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.
• Drive and increase user adoption by identifying training gaps and system problems; provide training and solutions.
• Collaborate with Advancement teams to execute marketing and advertising campaigns for various offices and programs.
• Create target lists and advise on opportunities for marketing automation in collaboration with cross-division teams.
• Maintain data integrity through data maintenance tasks such as de-duping, uploads, and quality assurance procedures in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
• Manage system users by creating and maintaining profiles, roles, permissions, sharing rules, and queues.
• Research and test changes in upcoming Salesforce and Marketing Cloud releases and other integrated applications; provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain documentation and training processes as features evolve or are added.
• Assist with reporting tools to measure campaign success and digital presence.
• Manage trainings for Salesforce Marketing Cloud users, prepare documentation, and lead ongoing training sessions.
• Schedule and conduct training sessions for new users, build and send emails, and maintain training documentation.
• Identify training and learning needs through meetings, recommend solutions, and prepare training materials.
• Oversee email sends, including auditing and providing guidance.
• Work with teams to automate email sends and internal processes to improve efficiency.
• Assist the help desk and provide support to approximately 200 users in University Advancement and other units.
• Provide daily assistance to users, recognize opportunities for training, and initiate actions to improve skills.
• Compile report requests, collaborate on report creation, and maintain best practices for reporting in Marketing Cloud.
• Ensure data quality by running queries, auditing uploads, and suggesting improvements.
• Test new functionality, perform data cleanup, and document results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field preferred).
• 3 - 5 years of marketing and digital analytics experience (Higher Ed or Advancement background preferred).
• 3 - 5 years of Salesforce CRM and/or SF Marketing Cloud experience.
• Salesforce Administrator Certification.
• Marketing Cloud Administrator Certification.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with higher education or advancement systems.
• Experience with automation tools and campaign management.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Marketing Cloud Administrator).
• Formal education in related fields.
