SAP Senior Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk and complex SAP projects by leveraging cross-functional resources and capabilities.
• Follow SAP delivery models using ASAP methodology, tools, and procedures.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project objectives within scope, quality, time, and budget.
• Review project plans and scope with the project team to ensure understanding of tasks and deliverables.
• Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to establish scope, cost, schedule, and quality for SAP projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and are integrated with other applications.
• Provide guidance on SAP implementation methodologies, support policies, standards, and procedures.
• Use SAP portfolio experience to deliver large-scale enterprise initiatives.
• Escalate project issues early and manage ongoing risks with appropriate solutions.
• Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with technical staff, programming teams, and business partners to deliver technical and business projects.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP FI-CO modules, including configuration and data migration.
• Develop detailed project plans covering scope, resources, risks, and change management.
• Lead data migration initiatives ensuring accurate transfer of legacy financial data into SAP S/4HANA.
• Conduct process mapping for core financial cycles and recommend SAP-driven solutions.
• Create and maintain process documentation and support long-term system sustainability.
• Design interfaces and data mappings for financial data transfer from industrial systems into SAP.
• Support SAP operational activities, including month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Act as a primary support contact for SAP solutions and change requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• PMP Certification and SAP FI/CO certification.
• Experience with SAP FI-CO modules, including GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA.
• Experience with SAP upgrade, global rollout, and support projects.
• Strong production support experience in onsite and offshore models.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, support year-end and period-end closing activities, and assist end users.
• Knowledge of multiple SAP modules and capability to do configuration and gap analysis.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages like German, Spanish, or French are appreciated.
• Ability to operate office and production equipment, carry and lift up to 30 lbs, and travel as needed.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with SAP MM-PP-SD modules.
• Experience working on global rollout and support projects.
• Experience serving as a SPOC for onsite production support.
• Knowledge of industrial systems integration and data reconciliation.
