Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Community Donation Center (CDC) is organized, clean, safe, and welcoming, maintaining donation flow, storage, and staging.
  • Partner with the Production Manager/Store Manager to manage donation flow from the CDC into the production room to facilitate a manageable supply flow.
  • Engage with customers and donors to promote Savers' brand both in-store and in the community.
  • Ensure donations are accurately weighed by classification and accounted for.
  • Plan, track, and measure donation goals and results.
  • Use the CDC Scheduler and Daily Planner to schedule CDC Ambassadors appropriately, ensuring coverage aligns with expected volume and donor traffic.
  • Leverage Voice of the Customer Program to improve donor satisfaction.
  • Perform duties of the CDC Ambassador as required.
  • Lead, direct, and supervise CDC Ambassadors, including recruiting, training, coaching, and recognizing team members.
  • Develop a culture of appreciation for donors and donations, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Identify and develop high potential team members for supervisory and management roles.
  • Function as an active member of the management team.
  • Deliver a positive donor experience through training, coaching, and role-modeling service expectations.
  • Assess donor areas and direct team activity to meet standards and set work pace.
  • Engage with donors to seek feedback and respond to questions, requests, and complaints.
  • Educate store team members on Savers' brand and business model.
  • Promote awareness of the nonprofit partner, joint brands, and community impact.
  • Drive company promotions and grassroots efforts to create community awareness.
  • Partner with the Sourcing team to lead or assist in Fundrive events as needed.
  • Network within the community through grassroots efforts to share Savers' story and promote awareness.

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and coach the work of others.
  • Ability to manage donation flow and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Ability to lead, supervise, and develop team members.
  • Ability to engage with donors and community members effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in community engagement or nonprofit partnerships.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in retail or community settings.

Qualifications

  • Ability to observe, assess, and coach the work of others.
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written forms.
