About the Role

The Scrum Master is responsible for the administrative, coaching, and leadership roles that make Scrum development and delivery possible. This role supports Agile practices within the organization, facilitating team operations, communication, and obstacle removal to ensure smooth project delivery. The position is part of Paragon Healthcare, a company with over 20 years of experience in providing infusible and injectable drug therapies, and offers a hybrid work environment with in-office and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates, monitors, and supports the implementation of multiple small to medium systems and/or products.
Acts as a buffer between the team and process overhead, so each team member can focus on the timely delivery of software.
Shields the team from interruptions and removes obstacles that may impact the delivery of the product.
Facilitates ceremonies such as daily standups and sprint planning, and instills Agile principles into daily activities to ensure smooth functioning of the delivery team.
Facilitates internal and external communications, including task coordination, progress tracking/reporting, and dependency management.
Ensures the team is well-informed on internal and external initiatives and activities.
Keeps external stakeholders and interested parties well-informed on team progress and activities.
Tracks and removes obstacles and barriers that may prevent progress to ensure smooth delivery.

Requirements

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with an IT focus.
Minimum of 3 years experience implementing Agile methodologies or equivalent education and experience.
Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, preferably with certifications like CSM or CSPO.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
Background in software development or IT projects is preferred.

Nice to Have

Experience with SAFe or other Agile frameworks.
Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with small-sized Agile implementations (e.g., 1-5 teams).
Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
Background in software development or IT projects.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
