About the Role

This is a hybrid role and requires 3 times a week onsite in our Newton, MA office. The Scrum Master II will coordinate and coach teams on Agile values, principles, and Scrum framework to ensure a productive and efficient team environment. The role involves supporting the Product Owner, managing project activities, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and actively removing impediments to project completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, backlog refinement, demos, and other Scrum-related activities.
  • Coach agile teams and communicate agile concepts and benefits to team members and stakeholders, taking a pragmatic and flexible approach when required.
  • Track and communicate progress metrics and performance to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for removing impediments and guiding the team to resolve obstacles.
  • Support the Product Owner with grooming and managing the product backlog.
  • Provide project and/or product deliverables including kickoff presentations, project plans, status reports, and deployment plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • 5+ years of IT-specific experience.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM or CSP, PSM).

Nice to Have

  • SAFe certification.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools.
  • Agile DevOps experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
  • Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in various contexts (different team sizes, organizations, cultures, co-located vs. distributed).
  • Experience transitioning software teams to agile processes independently.
  • Aptitude to follow technical discussions and bridge communication between product managers and developers.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and with teams.
