The role is based remotely in North Dakota, with a focus on search engine marketing (SEM) strategy to increase online visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and manage the organization's overall SEM strategy.
  • Partner with media strategists to deploy search marketing tactics to increase online visibility and engagement.
  • Analyze research, data, or technology to understand user intent and identify opportunities for ongoing optimization.
  • Utilize SEO data to optimize SEM and PPC campaigns to minimize CPC and increase CTR.
  • Collaborate with the marketing analytics team to use site traffic data for informed paid search performance decisions.
  • Manage PPC campaigns across Search Ads 360, Google, and Bing.
  • Work closely with web and content teams to drive quality traffic, increase conversions, and maximize ROI.
  • Develop and implement SEM campaigns in partnership with Media Strategists.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization.
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising keywords and links.
  • Identify KPIs, report key metrics, and coordinate reporting dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Perform ongoing analysis, experimentation, and A/B testing to improve search activities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, business information systems, programming, statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience planning and implementing successful SEM strategies.
  • Experience in ecommerce is preferred.
  • Certification in Google Ads is required.
  • Proficiency in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
  • Knowledge of bid management tools (SA360), call tracking tools (DialogTech/Invoca, Marchex), digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Datorama), and SEO/SEM tools (Google Search Console, Conductor, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Proficiency in various technical and web-based platforms.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet conflicting deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google Ad Manager or Google Marketing Platform.
