Senior Analyst, Data & AI

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct primary research on the full lifecycle of data in the enterprise, particularly related to AI solutions and applications.
• Research data engineering, transformation processes, modern data management practices, DataOps, and data requirements for AI training.
• Create approximately eight to 12 high-quality, actionable, and analytically deep research projects annually, including reports, tools, webinars, videos, blogs, podcasts, and infographics.
• Work alongside sales and marketing teams to promote visibility for research outputs.
• Drive and lead key Forrester Wave and Landscape reports.
• Consult with clients to apply research insights to their specific business environments and assist in solving their problems.
• Present at industry events, deliver client webinars, and establish an industry presence as a speaker and thinker.
• Build relationships with journalists and participate in press inquiries.
• Support business development and prospect conversations as arranged by account leadership.
• Foster a culture of cross-team collaboration, mentorship, integrity, and positive pursuit.

Requirements

• A BA/BS degree.
• Five or more years of experience in a data management, data engineering, data architecture, or data science role working with data platforms, pipelines, products, or AI/analytics outputs.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following markets: data catalogs, data pipelines, data platforms, data governance solutions, or analytics and AI/ML solutions, including knowledge of vendors and use cases.
• Ability to serve as an advisor to senior leaders and C-level clients.
• Superior client-facing communication, listening, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of issues faced by data and AI executives, including current and emerging technology markets, economics, labor, and econometrics.
• Ability to distill complex ideas into simple, provocative concepts and take a stand on outcomes.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vendor evaluation and understanding of key features and capabilities in data and AI solutions.
• Experience in public speaking, industry analysis, or thought leadership in data and AI fields.

Qualifications

• Educational background with a BA/BS degree.
