About the Role

Florida Power & Light Company is the largest electric utility in the U.S., delivering clean, affordable, and reliable electricity to approximately 12 million Floridians. The company is known for its clean power generation fleet and top-tier reliability, setting new standards in the energy industry. The Senior Audit Analyst role is within the Internal Audit department, focusing on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support audits, investigations, and consultations, thereby enhancing internal audit functions' efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze large datasets to extract insights and support decision-making processes for internal audit activities.
Develop, design, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensuring that analytics deliverables meet business needs.
Develop and implement data models, scripts, and automation processes using Python, R, and other relevant programming languages.
Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple databases.
Leverage knowledge of Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to drive data automation and insights.
Translate complex data findings into clear visualizations and stories that engage and inform decision-makers.
Conduct exploratory and hypothesis-driven analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
Provide actionable recommendations based on data insights, supporting internal audit processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including audit and business leadership, to ensure data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

High School Grad / GED
Experience: 4+ years
Experience in business analysis, preferably in a similar role
Strong proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL databases, with expertise in SQL
Proficiency in Python and R, statistical modeling, and machine learning
Experience with business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions

Nice to Have

Bachelor's Degree
Master's degree in data analytics or related field
Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher
