About the Role

april is a disruptive B2B fintech start-up in the tax space, built to power smarter financial decisions with real-time tax intelligence and AI-powered tools. They are looking for a Senior Brand Designer to evolve their brand system and create compelling visual assets for marketing campaigns, sales materials, and digital experiences. This role offers an opportunity to shape the company's brand identity during a growth phase, with a hybrid work schedule for candidates in the greater NYC area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the brand refresh, helping define and evolve brand guidelines for the new B2B focused iteration.
  • Design a wide range of marketing assets, including website visuals, newsletters, marketing emails, landing pages, sales decks, and social media content.
  • Manage and enhance the marketing website experience using modern, designer-oriented CMS platforms such as Plasmic.
  • Develop creative assets for event marketing, including sponsorship activations and branded swag, with smart, contextual messaging.
  • Collaborate with the product design team to create demo videos and product walkthroughs supporting marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Work closely with the content marketing team to develop compelling visual content for videos and social platforms.
  • Oversee and manage a part-time freelance designer to support smaller-scale production tasks, ensuring efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience, ideally with a mix of agency roles and in-house marketing design experience.
  • Experience designing for marketing websites, including creating assets aligned with UX wireframes and design patterns.
  • Deep proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience with web design and CMS platforms, specifically Plasmic.
  • Experience building and evolving brand guidelines.
  • A portfolio showcasing diverse design work across multiple mediums, demonstrating innovation and strategic thinking.
  • Strong ability to manage tasks and projects efficiently, communicate with stakeholders about timelines.
  • Experience designing B2B sales presentations and infographics that communicate complex ideas visually.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with video editing or animation, or a willingness to learn.
  • B2B and financial services experience is a huge plus.
