About the Role

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries. Our customers include leading innovators in Aerospace & Defense, Materials, Energy, Semiconductors, and Automotive. The Senior Customer Development Manager role involves expanding our impact with customers through account management, business development, and cross-functional collaboration, focusing on scaling our presence across key accounts and industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with key customer stakeholders across accounts.
  • Drive account growth and long-term success by identifying new opportunities, expanding usage, and ensuring value delivery.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer's goals and how PhysicsX solutions align with their priorities.
  • Monitor customer health and proactively address risks or blockers to customer success.
  • Support forward-deployed teams on strategic accounts, including commercial framing, value articulation, and relationship management.
  • Engage directly with prospective and existing customers to grow the commercial pipeline across verticals.
  • Lead sales conversations, scope partnerships, and support deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Identify patterns in customer needs, usage, and value delivery to refine vertical strategy and offerings.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve business development materials such as pitch decks, product demos, case studies, testimonials, and publications.
  • Prioritize and plan engagement opportunities (events, conferences, campaigns) to drive customer growth.
  • Work closely with Delivery and Product teams to ensure strong feedback loops between customer insights and platform development.
  • Provide actionable input to Product on feature gaps, roadmap priorities, and customer impact stories.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to support vertical-specific content and campaigns.
  • Participate in pipeline and growth process reviews to continuously improve scaling strategies.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in business development, strategic account management, or customer-facing growth roles at a tech, SaaS, or engineering company.
  • Proven success in managing and growing enterprise customer relationships.
  • Deep expertise in one of the following sectors: Semiconductors, Aerospace, Energy, Materials and Chemicals, or Automotive.
  • Strong experience leading complex B2B sales and account expansion conversations.
  • Ability to identify patterns across multiple accounts and translate them into actionable business and product insights.
  • Excellent communicator, able to bridge technical, commercial, and strategic conversations.
  • Background in engineering or technical disciplines is a significant plus, especially when combined with customer-facing or commercial experience.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Delivery, Marketing) in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
