Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support GDIT's customers with data-informed solutions tailored to their needs.
• Play a pivotal role in ensuring customers successfully meet their strategic goals.
• Use project management and data skills to promote organizational goals to completion.
• Collaborate with team members and clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Support data visualization and dashboard design using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Support data analysis activities, including collecting, organizing, and disseminating insights.
• Implement advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression, statistical tests, and machine learning techniques.
• Support consulting efforts with internal and external customers to understand business needs and make recommendations.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or related fields.
• Experience in dashboard design, data visualization, and with Tableau and Power BI.
• Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing client needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience implementing advanced statistical techniques and some machine learning methods.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch), libraries (like scikit-learn), and computing platforms (like Jupyter).

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Certifications in AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience with Python and R.
• Link to sample Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization work/portfolio.
• Experience consulting with internal and external customers.
• Previous experience in the defense or government sector.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and big data tools.

Qualifications

• Educational background of BA/BS or equivalent experience.
