Senior Data Analyst, Management Data Analysis Job Details | National Grid

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support National Grid's data transformation activities, including analyzing data quality and analytics use cases, collaborating with subject matter experts, and performing comprehensive technical evaluations.
• Construct reports and data visualizations to support business processes.
• Identify, evaluate, present, and recommend options to all levels of leadership, including effort, impact, and risk assessments.
• Develop and apply domain knowledge as a fully engaged member of the NY Electric Data & Systems team.
• Provide data guidance and support to digital projects and initiatives.
• Support preparation of materials for communications, training, and stakeholder readouts.
• Quickly understand business and data processes, identify customer pain points, and translate business needs into solutions.
• Perform data analytics (including SQL) and create reports/dashboards to communicate insights.
• Assist with change management and product rollout plans, including presenting to senior stakeholders, developing training materials, and communication plans.
• Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Partner effectively with stakeholders and build relationships.
• Conduct data quality assessments and root cause analysis of data issues.
• Work with business and IT stakeholders to implement necessary changes and improvements.
• Develop detailed data process maps and documentation for workflows and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 4 years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience with data models, relational databases, and SQL development.
• Experience conducting structured business analysis and generating well-defined requirements.
• Knowledge of complete data flows and their relationship to business processes.
• Knowledge of digital product implementation fundamentals, digital ways of working, and Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated effectiveness communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience implementing organizational change.

• Knowledge of energy industry operations or utility data systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 4 years of related experience or equivalent.
