About the Role

The Senior Digital Analyst Specialist at Cox Enterprises provides performance and optimization-related insights for automotive manufacturers to support their campaigns leveraging Cox Automotive Media Solutions. This role enables sales teams to approach clients in a consultative manner and helps internal campaign management teams surface insights and optimizations. Reporting to the Director of Analytics for Digital and Marketing Campaigns, the position involves working closely with Sales, Campaign Management, and Analytics teams to understand client business issues, evaluate Cox Automotive Media solutions, and deliver analytics and insights to optimize those solutions. The role also acts as a liaison to various internal departments, including Product, Operations, and Data Foundations, to ensure successful delivery of analytics and insights. This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office and involves analyzing consumer behavior, media performance, and data to improve ROI and campaign performance for automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze on-site consumer behavior to showcase shopping activity and patterns.
  • Analyze media performance to surface recommendations and optimizations supporting revenue initiatives.
  • Mine data to develop strategies that improve ROI and overall campaign performance for automotive manufacturers and Tier 2 automotive groups.
  • Explore and incorporate new data sources to create and present customized sales presentations, program recaps, and solution recommendations to clients.
  • Establish innovative strategies to understand and solve complex analytics problems by identifying patterns and trends.
  • Evaluate and align Cox Automotive Media solutions with client business issues using creative analysis.
  • Present insights and analytical concepts directly to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating clear stories.
  • Design, conduct, and lead complex analyses to extract, track, report, and summarize performance metrics and data sources.
  • Collaborate with different departments to define requirements and improve the analytics suite.
  • Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions.
  • Highlight optimization opportunities through client insights to internal teams and contribute to the development of new client product solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field, or alternative combinations such as a master's degree with 2 years experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year experience, or 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in an analytical-focused position, preferably in digital marketing analytics and website analysis.
  • Experience with web/digital analysis and related software (e.g., Adobe Analytics / Omniture, Google Analytics).
  • Proficiency in SQL and basic knowledge of data warehousing and data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift).
  • Ability to perform basic statistical analysis (descriptive, variance, regression, probability) and understanding of advanced statistics.
  • Skilled at condensing analysis into actionable insights to influence business decisions and strategies.
  • Ability to consult and influence as a Subject Matter Expert to drive business success.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Physical ability and mental acuity to meet business requirements within required timeframes.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's in marketing, economics, finance, statistics, or mathematics.
  • Automotive domain expertise.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization systems (e.g., Microstrategy, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a related analytical role.
  • Experience with digital/web analytics tools and SQL.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis and develop insights.
