The Vice President of Marketing Analytics & Operations will serve as a strategic partner to the CMO, leading the development of a world-class marketing analytics and insights team, establishing infrastructure, processes, and measurement capabilities to drive strategic growth in a high-growth environment. This role involves building the marketing analytics function from the ground up, implementing measurement frameworks, and providing data-driven insights to executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build & lead the analytics organization by designing and developing a top-tier marketing analytics and insights team, including hiring, developing, and managing talent.
  • Establish the strategic vision and roadmap for marketing analytics capabilities and infrastructure.
  • Create a data-driven culture within the marketing organization through training, process development, and change management.
  • Serve as the CMO's strategic partner, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions and marketing strategy.
  • Partner with C-suite and senior executives to translate business objectives into measurable marketing outcomes.
  • Lead monthly business reviews with executive leadership, presenting performance analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to optimize the customer acquisition funnel from lead generation to revenue realization.
  • Develop and implement attribution models to measure marketing contribution to pipeline and revenue.
  • Design and execute A/B testing frameworks to optimize marketing performance across channels.
  • Own and optimize the marketing technology stack, ensuring seamless integration and maximum ROI.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage marketing technologies supporting data collection, analysis, and activation.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Build comprehensive marketing dashboards and reporting infrastructure from scratch.
  • Develop standardized KPIs and measurement frameworks across marketing channels.
  • Create automated reporting systems for real-time performance visibility.
  • Own marketing budget planning and reconciliation, working with Finance for accuracy and optimization.
  • Manage partner operations, including MDF allocation, tracking, and ROI reporting.
  • Develop ROI models demonstrating marketing impact to partners and stakeholders.
  • Assess current marketing operations and implement scalable processes and systems.
  • Design workflows for lead management, campaign operations, and performance tracking.
  • Establish data quality standards and ensure accuracy across marketing systems.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Finance, Product, and Customer Success teams.
  • Lead monthly reconciliation meetings with Finance for budget accuracy and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Establish key success metrics such as marketing attribution, real-time dashboards, partner ROI, team development, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree in Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, analytics, or related fields with at least 7 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling analytics teams in high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience implementing marketing technology stacks and measurement frameworks.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar marketing budgets and partner relationships.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence.
  • Advanced proficiency in marketing analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and data warehousing solutions like Marketo and Pardot.
  • Experience with attribution modeling, predictive analytics, and advanced statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience building teams from 0-10+ people.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Outstanding communication skills with experience presenting to C-level executives.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex initiatives.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant certifications in marketing analytics, project management, or technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Educational background including a bachelor's degree or higher; advanced degrees preferred.
