Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for representing the company's most strategic relationships with large automotive clients.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support client advertising efforts, ensuring alignment with their overarching business goals.
  • Own relationships with key stakeholders across various teams including programmatic, media & insights, and line of business levels.
  • Provide thought leadership in shaping the media buying strategies of automotive clients by aligning The Trade Desk's technology with their marketing objectives.
  • Partner closely with client-facing teams such as business development, client services, and technical account management to deliver on client objectives.
  • Understand clients' evolving needs and identify ways The Trade Desk's platform can enhance their ad buying efficiency and precision.
  • Lead in building proactive recommendations for channel expansion and work strategically to open new lines of business and markets.
  • Contribute to partnership planning and road-map discussions based on client needs with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate across internal stakeholders to develop new inventory, data partnerships, measurement, and custom solutions for clients.
  • Partner with marketing to showcase clients' work at industry events or in The Trade Desk's editorial opportunities.
  • Present in client business reviews and host events with key clients and their teams.
  • Build lasting internal connections across The Trade Desk to ensure comprehensive client support and seamless cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • A commercially savvy, strong seller with experience nurturing key client relationships and driving new revenue streams.
  • Proven track record of delivering results, building relationships, and collaborating with teams on large, strategic automotive clients.
  • Experience as a consultative seller at a DSP or in online advertising, with a history of exceeding revenue expectations.
  • Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with C-level clients.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability to lead commercial negotiations for large global accounts.
  • Passion for owning a room and closing deals with teammates.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CLM, and ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Marketing, and Inventory stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry and experience working with or for an automotive brand in online advertising.
