The position involves partnering with local health plan leadership and marketing teams to procure and re-procure Medicaid managed care contracts through insight-driven marketing, media, and activations. The role focuses on translating long-term portfolio strategies into data-driven, multichannel marketing strategies to grow member acquisition and retention, while ensuring compliance and effective resource allocation across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with local health plan leadership and marketing teams to successfully procure and re-procure Medicaid managed care contracts through marketing, media, and activations.
Translate long-term portfolio strategy into data-driven, multichannel marketing strategies for Medicaid managed care plans across multiple regions.
Build and execute annual marketing activation plans, ensuring effective resource allocation, bold investments, and cost management.
Craft Medicaid health plans marketing strategies, including messaging, communication, digital presence, and relationship development, ensuring content is adapted in-language and in-culture.
Design and execute the portfolio strategy for multiple regions to communicate health plans' community impact to stakeholders.
Oversee a team responsible for executing marketing strategies across regions.
Ensure resources are effectively allocated and costs are managed efficiently.
Advise on ways to advance the Medicaid product's brand through industry publications, multi-channel engagement, conferences, and advertising.
Identify opportunities for scale and efficiencies in investment and media to support hyper-local content at scale.
Gain deep market knowledge to optimize media planning and buying with central media agency partners.
Derive insights from markets to inform marketing strategies for national brands and serve as the single corporate marketing contact for health plans.
Share learnings and best practices with state-based health plan markets and ensure adoption across regions.
Continuously train and upskill marketing teams, executing learning agendas and coaching team members.
Scan the media marketplace to stay updated on healthcare and marketing trends.
Equip teams with data analysis skills to generate impactful insights and hold talent accountable to performance standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of relevant, progressive marketing and experience, including healthcare industry marketing experience.
Experience in organization and talent management.
Proven ability to manage a complex portfolio and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred).
8+ years of marketing experience, including healthcare marketing.
