We are looking a Senior Director, Marketing Center Head, who will be a pivotal leader within our Commercial and marketing organization, responsible for defining, developing, and executing the holistic marketing and portfolio strategy for Lonza Bioprocessing diverse life sciences product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall global marketing vision and strategy for the company's product portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and revenue targets
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, including Product Managers, General Marketing specialists, and Marketing Communications experts
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation and development support through launch, growth, and end-of-life, ensuring a robust product pipeline and portfolio optimization
  • Direct the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns, market segmentation strategies, and branding initiatives to enhance market presence and customer engagement
  • Guide the development and implementation of effective marketing communication strategies across digital channels, content marketing, public relations, and events
  • Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to develop impactful sales enablement tools, training programs, and strategies that support regional revenue goals
  • Partner with R&D and Business Development to identify new market opportunities, assess commercial viability of new technologies, and contribute to product roadmap development
  • Establish and track key marketing performance indicators (KPIs), analyze ROI, and optimize marketing spend to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency
  • Lead new product introductions including strong financial analysis of market entry
  • Manage all aspects of our product lifecycle management
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field required
  • Preferred MBA or advanced degree Field of Study
  • Highly experienced in progressive marketing within the biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics industry, with a focus on products (consumables, testing equipment, etc.)
  • Advanced experience in senior leadership roles overseeing multiple marketing functions (e.g., Product Management, Brand Marketing, Marketing Communications)
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex scientific information and market data into clear, actionable marketing plans
  • Outstanding leadership, team-building, and talent development capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Deep understanding of the full marketing mix, including digital marketing, content strategy, brand management, and product lifecycle management
  • Strong analytical skills for market analysis, forecasting, and ROI measurement
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and evolving scientific and commercial environment
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing global or regional marketing strategies that delivered significant business impact and revenue growth
  • Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing diverse marketing teams
  • Strong track record in new product launches and market development
