About the Role

The Senior Director of Digital Marketing Strategy is responsible for overseeing the overall digital strategy management for GREENWORKS Studio. This includes aligning with the digital team, managing external and internal digital client relations, providing training and mentorship, collaborating on budgeting and financial planning, managing vendor relations, analyzing digital performance, and brainstorming new products and services. The role reports to the SVP GWS and manages a team of digital marketing professionals, including a Digital Marketing Manager, Reputation Manager, Website Manager, and potential future hires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop digital marketing analysis for individual properties, regional campaign initiatives, and recruiting efforts, including financial estimates, repositioning strategies, lease-up strategies, and presentation materials.
  • Develop digital marketing financial estimates related to provided analysis.
  • Attend Transition and Disposition calls to maintain current Boards in Project Management Software (Monday) for team alignment and management.
  • Maintain Media Plan Dashboard for team alignment.
  • Run Social Media Content Management Service and VG Corporate Social Media Strategy and Campaigns.
  • Assist in naming proposals in collaboration with internal team members.
  • Establish team KPIs and ensure digital channels meet or exceed all financial and engagement targets.
  • Work with the Digital and Business Analytics team to automate digital reporting and improve delivery to clients.
  • Gather customer insights through competitive landscape analysis, audits, A/B testing, and usage/success analysis, making strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and programs to improve workflows, including overseeing tools like Monday and PandaDoc.
  • Evaluate current outside vendors, negotiate advertising rates and contracts, and recommend changes to optimize revenue and strategy.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing the annual GWS budget, including variance analysis and corrective actions.
  • Build and manage the digital marketing team, setting clear goals and responsibilities, and conducting regular meetings.
  • Attend annual in-person meetings in Detroit for collaboration and brainstorming.
  • Interface with outside clients and RSMDs to convey services offered by GREENWORKS Studio and align services with client assets.
  • Partner with IT/Digital Team & Operations Support on analytics, dashboards, and transitions.
  • Schedule and participate in recurring meetings with RSMDs and the IT/BA/Digital Team to discuss trends, needs, and updates.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, networking, and participation in professional societies.
  • Track vendor and client invoices in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Manage multiple projects proactively, prioritize tasks, and coordinate efforts across teams.
  • Partner with internal staff to maintain brand consistency and integrity.
  • Collaborate with GWS SVP and Director of Operations to ensure consistency across GREENWORKS Studio.
  • Run weekly GWS team meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to create functional strategies and specific objectives supporting the department or company's infrastructure.
  • Requires 3+ years managerial experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 suite of products.
  • Collaborative mindset and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and work proactively and independently.
  • Strong partnership skills to maintain brand consistency.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
