We are searching for a Senior Director, Unify Your Data Platform - Solutions Marketing to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion and understanding of the “Hyperscaler” cloud businesses and key trends. This role is a leader for the Unify Your Data Platform solution play focused on capturing the market share of the entire data opportunity by positioning Azure as the best destination for first-party and third-party data solutions. This includes prioritizing product strategies into customer outcomes and aligning them for optimal results through a mix of strategies. The leader will have a passion for technology, a deep understanding of sales and marketing levers, and a vision for how to gain market share. The role involves analyzing and diagnosing business challenges, formulating solutions, and motivating the organization into action to accelerate growth and establish strategies with customers, partners, and marketing. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders globally, working on rapidly growing business solutions, and aligning with Microsoft's mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive all-up solution play performance, growth, and end-to-end marketing effectiveness in partnership with Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) and marketing teams.
  • Develop and refine all-up solution play strategy, including audience needs, pain points, target segments, priorities, naming, primary products, and customer/business outcomes.
  • Define global marketing objectives and priorities aligned with solution play priorities, including go-to-market (GTM) guidance across integrated marketing, partners, and the Chief Marketing Office (CMO).
  • Continuously monitor performance to identify future opportunities or risks and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with sales and partner teams to ensure effective solution selling, partner enablement, and customer skilling.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
  • Lead Solution Play Rhythm of the Business (ROB) activities, including Azure Business Reviews (ABRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Drive business leadership through executive engagement.
  • Champion a collaborative culture and embrace servant leadership.
  • Guide operational excellence through strategic planning, execution, resource alignment, and quality control.
  • Lead with analytical thinking, business planning, and analysis, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Foster, hire, and instill a deep sense of inclusion within the team.
  • Ensure operational excellence and financial management, including budgeting.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Experience in solution marketing, product marketing, or enterprise sales.
  • Proficiency and understanding of cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and analytics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate cross organization in a complex and often ambiguous environment.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 15+ years experience in business.
  • 8+ years people management experience.
