About the Role

Neos is a leading Austin-based IT Staffing and Consulting firm, recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Austin. They are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a long-term contract with a client in Austin, TX. The role involves managing specific IT projects, including planning, budgeting, overseeing project activities, and ensuring timely and under-budget completion. The position requires local candidates only, with a hybrid work environment combining onsite and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, budget, oversee, and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on.
Facilitate meetings, manage project milestones and deliverables, and handle change requests.
Manage risks and issues, track project budget, and control project scope.
Complete various reporting to ensure the project is completed on time and under budget.
Work with program and IT teams to implement Invoice Tracking System replacement project activities.
Develop and manage project plans, document risks, issues, and contingency plans.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide the SDLC process.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders.
Summarize and escalate issues appropriately, develop and present weekly status updates, and conduct regular project team meetings.
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

10+ years of experience managing projects with implementations across large organizations.
Experience developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
Ability to research, gather, analyze facts, and devise solutions to complex problems.
Experience overseeing SDLC artifacts and ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications.
Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholder management.
Ability to summarize and escalate issues, and conduct project meetings and status updates.
Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8+ years of experience with Agile methodology, tracking development progress, and aligning project assignments with timelines.
Experience managing projects with feature-driven sprints.
PMP Certification (preferred, 2+ years of experience).

Nice to Have

Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for 1 or more State of Texas Agencies.
Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health.

Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume.
Candidates must be local to the Austin area (within a 50-mile radius).
