Senior Manager, Business Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with division and segment leadership globally to establish business development strategy, identify and prioritize categories of interest, and lead category and technology landscape analyses to identify specific targets.
• Work with commercial, R&D, and medical partners to evaluate products and technologies by assessing category size, growth potential, competitive dynamics, unmet needs, and innovation opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the business development process across various deal structures such as Venture, Acquisition, Licensing, Distribution, and Development.
• Develop financial deal models with Finance and Commercial teams to build the investment case.
• Prepare and deliver deal approval requests and pipeline reviews for senior management.
• Provide guidance and support to regional teams on business development activities.
• Train and guide cross-functional partners on the BD process and participation in BD activities.
• Participate in alliance management activities with strategic partners, including transition services, development project management, and steering committee participation.
• Support transition and launch activities for inorganic product launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant professional business experience.
• Proven experience in due diligence and deal-making for multiple M&A, licensing, or other deal structures.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and interact effectively with executive management.
• Financial competence with a strong understanding of financial statements and application of financial theory.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation development and delivery.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple projects, and adopt an 80/20 work approach.
• Comfortable working in rapidly evolving, non-hierarchical, proactive environments.
• Strong ownership mentality with focus on driving projects to completion and delivering results.
• Healthcare or medical device industry experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience in developing and evaluating financial models for deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in business or healthcare industry.
