Senior Manager, Business Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new opportunities by working closely with Business Development leadership and US, Canadian, and APAC internal teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to assess the feasibility and alignment of external opportunities with underlying business strategy and financial criteria.
• Support evaluation of new opportunities by managing financial modeling and due diligence process with strong collaboration across internal teams.
• Prepare strategic business cases for internal discussion and approval.
• Support implementation and launch/integration of strategic partnerships.
• Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders built on trust, transparency, and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree in life sciences is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare banking/consulting.
• 3+ years of experience in business development with a track record of supporting successful strategic partnerships.
• In-depth understanding of US and Canadian pharmaceutical markets, product development cycles, and regulatory landscape.
• Proficiency in developing detailed financial models that assess commercial opportunity, deal structures reflecting risk/reward, and interpreting risk simulation outputs.
• Experience in preparing commercial assessments, validating assumptions, and developing quantitative and qualitative support documentation.
• Ability to model deal terms aligned with strategic and financial objectives and reflective of risk profile.
• Sound judgment regarding management of sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, delegation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work across functional disciplines.
• Excellent presentation and analytical skills, mastery of MS PowerPoint and Excel.

• Experience supporting successful strategic partnerships in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory landscape in US and Canada.
• Experience with financial modeling and deal structuring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
