Senior Manager, Business Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new opportunities by working closely with Business Development leadership and US, Canadian, and APAC internal teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to assess the feasibility and alignment of external opportunities with business strategy and financial criteria.
• Support evaluation of new opportunities by managing financial modeling and due diligence processes with strong collaboration across internal teams.
• Prepare strategic business cases for internal discussion and approval.
• Support implementation and launch/integration of strategic partnerships.
• Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders based on trust, transparency, and communication.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, build alignment, work independently, and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a complex, rapidly changing, and ambiguous environment with initiative and creativity.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree in life sciences preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare banking/consulting.
• 3+ years of experience in business development supporting successful strategic partnerships (highly preferred).
• In-depth understanding of US and Canadian pharmaceutical markets, product development cycles, and regulatory landscape.
• Proficiency in developing detailed financial models, assessing commercial opportunities, and interpreting risk simulation outputs.
• Experience in modeling deal terms aligned with strategic and financial objectives.
• Ability to prepare commercial assessments, validate assumptions, and develop support documentation.
• Sound judgment in managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal, advocacy, delegation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work across functional disciplines.
• Excellent presentation and analytical skills, mastery of MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA or graduate degree in life sciences preferred
• 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare banking/consulting
• 3+ years of business development experience supporting strategic partnerships
