The role involves leading product development and strategy for the GCS Mobile platform, creating innovative digital experiences for small business and corporate customers, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a tenured Product Owner and thought leader to create, support, and execute on a Global Commercial Services Mobile Product Vision and Roadmap, including integrating experiences for small business users and evolving middle market solutions.
  • Evolve the mobile strategy for Business users at American Express in partnership with product management leadership and departmental partners, aligning with enterprise goals and customer needs.
  • Develop a clear, data-informed vision for how mobile can serve business customers most effectively across user roles, relationships, and products.
  • Program manage initiatives related to mobile to work across multiple teams and partners to deliver efficiently.
  • Plan and deliver a product backlog, prioritize stories, and ship high-quality, functional software with a cross-functional team.
  • Collaborate with external and internal partners to define functionality, document epics, business rules, use cases, and process flows.
  • Lead projects independently from end-to-end, building consensus, identifying risks, and removing roadblocks.
  • Partner on discovery with business subject matter experts and UX designers to grow revenue, improve customer experience, and differentiate products.
  • Optimize customer experience and performance in market by defining and monitoring adoption, engagement, and satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a business analyst, product owner, and/or product manager.
  • Awareness of trends in experience and design, with an understanding of mobile app strategies.
  • Excellent customer experience intuition and success in creating innovative, user-friendly products and features.
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen, with experience working with engineers and designers in an agile environment.
  • Sound business judgment with the ability to influence others and drive results.
  • Ability to prioritize features using data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Adaptability to quickly changing priorities and conditions.
  • Strong relationship and communication skills to influence decision making across organizational levels.
  • Personal accountability and a drive to deliver best-in-class experiences.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in the business, expense management, or banking spaces.
  • Expertise in the latest trends in mobile technology and innovation.
