The company is dedicated to crafting the best quality products at the best possible price, offering various style and design options. As the organization expands its lines, it brings in top industry talent to pass along expertise through its products. The Senior Marketing Manager will lead and oversee multiple B2B marketing efforts in partnership with divisional leads to drive sales in retailer stores, focusing on account management, go-to-market planning, and developing campaigns that fuel sales of retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally (product, sales, design, retail) to develop and execute marketing plans for new product launches across retail channels.
  • Act as a key liaison between Whalen and retail partner marketing teams to develop and optimize promotional strategies, including promotional calendars, digital placement opportunities, product detail pages, and seasonal push periods.
  • Leverage data and market insights to shape campaign strategy and proactively identify growth opportunities.
  • Own marketing briefs, calendars, launch plans, and data synthesis.
  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams and external agencies/vendors.
  • Manage and optimize marketing channel mix (digital ads, retail media, SEO/SEM, influencer, social, in-store signage) to maximize awareness, engagement, and sales lifts.
  • Maximize content development to support rich retail and product in-store and online experiences.
  • Oversee the team's design, development, and delivery of marketing assets, including product copy, packaging messaging, sell-in tools, digital banners, and POS materials.
  • Maintain brand consistency across touchpoints while adapting assets to each retailer's standards and customer base.
  • Establish, build, and operationalize project management systems and workflows, such as Asana or Monday.com.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance; support the assessment and onboarding of new platforms, tools, and software (e.g., DAM, CRM, analytics, social media platforms, marketing automation).
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, privacy laws, retailer standards).
  • Track and report on key KPIs (campaign ROI, product launch impact, retailer engagement, digital performance, brand health).
  • Share insights to optimize future marketing investments and team productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in a consumer goods, furniture/home goods, or retail/vendor partnership environment.
  • Experience supporting mass retailers (Walmart, Sam's Club, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing, retail execution, and merchandising.
  • Experience developing product launch toolkits, packaging, POS, and digital assets tailored to retailer needs.
  • Proficient in digital marketing strategy, including email, SEO/SEM, paid social, influencer marketing, and website management.
  • Familiarity with content syndication tools (e.g., Syndigo, Salsify), DAM systems, and retailer content compliance standards.
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, Looker, or Tableau) to assess campaign performance and customer behavior.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and present actionable insights to inform marketing decisions.
  • Experience managing creative agencies, freelancers, or vendor partners, including writing briefs and overseeing deliverables.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to create compelling internal and external presentations.
