About the Role

The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy - Marketing Strategy Enablement at Walmart is a leadership role within a dynamic, innovative marketing organization dedicated to redefining shopping experiences through impactful creative and customer insights. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage annual planning workplan and various workstreams including strategy development, goal setting, forecasting, and resourcing, including developing timelines, frameworks, and methodologies for the planning process.
  • Work with leadership to set clear, measurable goals; track progress, drivers, and barriers throughout the year to enable strategic decision making and resourcing.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure alignment and integration of plans to deliver annual goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine the annual planning process to improve efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging data and insights for better decision making.
  • Develop and drive prioritization frameworks to enable agility and responsiveness in plans to support dynamic business needs.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives related to strategic plan implementation and ensure effective communication and operationalization.
  • Support annual and monthly forecasting processes including data collection, analysis, and model improvement.
  • Analyze channel and category performance data; diagnose and identify actions to grow and influence performance.
  • Leverage reporting and dashboards across channels and categories; recommend improvements to optimization methodologies based on performance reports.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing teams and cross-functional partners to understand digital marketing plans and performance.
  • Advise internal teams to improve processes, identify opportunities, and scale best practices and governance.
  • Create and scale efficient workflows, routines, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team and take on responsibilities outside primary job scope when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3 years of experience in marketing or related field, or 7 years of experience in marketing or related field.
  • Knowledge of the digital media landscape and underlying technologies.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience with high-impact data-driven presentations to large audiences and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and unclear problem definitions.
  • Strategic mindset with critical thinking skills to uncover and solve business problems.

Nice to Have

  • Leading cross-functional projects.
  • Supervisory experience in marketing or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration.

Qualifications
