About the Role

The Senior Manager of Category Data is responsible for leading data analysis and reporting efforts within the Category and Supply Chain teams. The role involves developing data solutions, dashboards, and reports to support category performance, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The position also includes managing a team of analysts and collaborating across departments to optimize assortment planning, shelf management, and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Streamline the Category and Supply Chain team's reporting efforts.
  • Lead a team of analysts to develop data solutions and dashboards for category performance tracking and product trends.
  • Translate business questions into structured data analysis and insights that support assortment planning and shelf optimization.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools and automated dashboards for real-time visibility into category performance, including sales, margin, velocity, and promotional lift.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and merchandising teams.
  • Review historical sales trends to prepare and evaluate forecast data results.
  • Develop long-term forecasts to assess supply capacity to meet forecasted demand.
  • Generate reports using SQL in ERP (NetSuite) and Power BI.
  • Support demand planners to improve the demand planning process.
  • Improve and maintain forecasting and replenishment templates.
  • Create reports for Category/Supply Chain analysis, including weekly sales, purchases, receipts, and performance KPIs.
  • Support purchasing and forward-looking initiatives with reporting.
  • Track programs and accruals in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Category & Supply Chain.
  • Produce KPI reports to evaluate demand planner and distribution center performance.
  • Contribute to the implementation and utilization of Demand Planning modules.
  • Oversee forecasting and collaborative demand planning processes for specific distribution organizations.
  • Communicate between Sales & Marketing and Category & Supply Chain departments.
  • Establish written procedures (SOPs).
  • Aide in new product development, promotions, product lifecycle management, and cannibalization while maintaining forecast accuracy.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in an analytical position supporting Categories and Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years' experience in leading people and creating best practices.
  • 3+ years' of Tire Industry Experience Required.
  • Working knowledge of category, demand, inventory, and replenishment planning.
  • Understanding of Visual Basic Application (Excel Macro), SQL and R.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Outlook, advanced Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI.
