Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of program managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and the customer to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Utilize strong financial acumen to manage project budgets, analyze financial reports, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Responsible for Project P&L for the assigned portfolio.
  • Accountable for all aspects of schedule, budget, cost, and scope for assigned products, proactively managing changes against the defined baseline.
  • Actively lead and manage project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and provide recommendations for timely resolution.
  • Lead the program team to identify and achieve continuous improvement and cost reductions on programs.
  • Ensure customer involvement where necessary to achieve continuous improvement objectives and increase overall program margin.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in the automotive industry, focused on thermal management, pneumatics, and electronics systems.
  • Manage and ensure execution of APQP processes from acquisition to launch through EOP.
  • Elevate red risk items to top management for immediate response and resolution on show-stopper issues.
  • Assist in the development and review of contractual and business obligations.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraints, and develop contingency plans where required.
  • Identify resource gaps and potential bottlenecks and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the program management team.
  • Maintain and improve project management tools to drive the development process.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on the status of assigned programs.
  • Develop training programs for new hires and ongoing education for the program management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in managing systems with electronics components.
  • 10 years of automotive experience.
  • Expert knowledge of program management.

Nice to Have

  • Design engineering experience.
  • Experience in thermal management, pneumatic & lumbar systems.
  • Experience with automotive seat systems and/or interiors.
  • MBA degree.
  • Working knowledge of APQP, IATF 16949, ASPICE, and ISO 26262 functional safety.
  • Agile/lean experience in a product owner or scrum master role, organizations leveraging lean/agile methodologies, and in-depth experience with Scrum or Kanban.
  • Confluence/Jira knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Automotive industry experience.
